And, did you know? If any forthcoming & yet-to-be-published Handheld Press books are bought using our gift card, they will be despatched as soon as we have copies. This can be as early as two months before the publication date. No other book token or gift card has such power.
We also offer cards for £20. You can buy any combination to reach the value you want to give.
We can email you a pdf of the card, or post the physical card anywhere in the world.

Once you’ve made the payment, we’ll get in touch almost instantaneously by email to ask for this information, if you haven’t already supplied it to us when making the order:
- To whom would you like us to send the card?
- If a physical printed card, to which address shall we post it? (Postage is free.)
- If an emailed gift card, to which email address shall we send it? (This email address will only be kept as a record of this purchase, and will not be used for any other purpose.)
- When would you like us to send the card?
Your gift card will have a unique coupon number. We add the recipient’s name, and its expiry date and send it off to the recipient.
Each card normally expires 18 months after purchase, but this can be discussed.
To redeem a gift card, enter the unique coupon number on the card in the coupon box at the checkout stage of the payment process, before you reach the Paypal site. For example, card coupon number TK001 will be activated when you type TK001 in the coupon box, and the value of that card will be deducted from the price of your books.
You can keep using the unique coupon number until you’ve used up the value of the card.
Each card can be used as payment or part-payment for any book ordered from the Handheld Press website, even if it isn’t published yet.
Please note that all books to be posted outside the UK will have the relevant postage added at the checkout. UK postage is free.
The value of the card is in sterling only. But since all our books are priced in sterling, and Paypal does the conversion for you, you can buy a gift card using any currency.
Each card lasts for 12 months from the date of purchase.
